This is the first album of the Mexico & Cuba journey trilogy. Setting the theme to “Sophisticate / Estilo”, Oscar Castro-Neves joined me for the recording. The album became a fusion of nostalgic latin numbers and Bossa Nova.

A selection of Latin ballads. The theme of this album is “Romantico.” This is dedicated to all the lovers around the world.

“Caliente (Warmth)” is the theme of this album. I was so fortunate to come across Makoto Sasaki and Mucho, the players of Cuban music in Japan, at one of the venues. We got together and played this music in the way the native Latin played their music, without any of our arrangement. It’s a fun album…my kids love it.
